This non-residential complex has earned the GREEN OFFICE® label.

These levels of performance are attained by seeking synergies around a site, high performance building envelopes and morphological building design.
The building is also part of a mixed urban fabric. The housing units and offices, along with a certain number of services, exist side by side and form a cohesive whole.

The office building is on the site of the former Gaupillat factory, which was long the pride of the district and whose silhouette was a major landmark. Not only the location, but also the scale and articulations of the volumes have been used by the project. We took advantage of the orientations to make use of wind and sun to “refresh” the buildings (free cooling at night) and provide energy.
The work spaces perform extremely well and are ergonomically designed. The different levels are flexible and can be arranged to suit very different scenarios (they could easily be turned into teaching spaces); they demonstrate the resilience of the design and its ability to adapt to the ways in which today's tertiary spaces evolve.

This reference demonstrates RR&A's ability to respond to the needs of the tertiary programme of the Cesson-Sévigné operation and to go beyond this “first” functionality to design qualitative spaces and buildings with high performance, with the flexibility and scalability necessary for future functions already built in.
