The town of Torcy and the Communauté d'Agglomération (metropolitan community) have begun studying the Arche Guédon district, which currently has several shortcomings. The project for regeneration of Sector 1 relies on the liberation of plots of land and the creation of a new network enabling the following actions:
- Improving quality of life
- Revitalising the commercial structure
- Regenerating public spaces
- Revaluating the housing stock
Two actions are currently in progress: restructuring of the Cours de l’Arche Guédon and construction of the new secondary school
